Do Something Naked Today: Celebrate Gay Pride

Today is the first day of June, 2017. The fist day of every month is customarily a day when we here at Guys Without Boxers: Bare With Pride celebrate as Do Something Naked Today! As June is always Gay Pride month here in the USA, let's all plan to do something special as we commemorate this auspicious occasion! Just as the guys with their bicycles above are showing off their gay, nude pride, we should all do the same!

We'll all strip off our cumbersome clothes and join in by proudly being the gay, naked men that we all truly are! So strip now!

Now that we've all removed our burden of superficial garments, we can be both proud and bare while we proudly offer ourselves to all the world as being proud gay men!

Now we can all take comfort as being proud, nude gay men!

Happy Gay Nude Pride Month, 2017!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Photo-Blog: Do Something Naked Today

Today, March 1, is the first day of the final month of winter. Traditionally here on Guys Without Boxers: Bare With Pride, the first day of every month is "Do Something Naked Today." Today's feature as part of this series is a simple one. It merely involves being an indoor nudist.

The temperatures outside are gradually beginning to become warmer. In anticipation of the approaching moderate days and nights, why not acclimate yourself and your body to being completely clothes-free? Just strip off all those cumbersome garments!

Just in case the above graphic doesn't convey the proper message to you, there's the gif. images below:

And once you've removed all your covering, why not flex your muscles and show off both your nudity and your pride!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Indoor Skinny-Dipping Swim Meet

Our bare brothers and sisters who live in the Southern Hemisphere are currently enjoying the splendid benefits of their Summer-time. For those of us who reside in the Northern Hemisphere, we're struggling to survive the trials and tribulations of Winter.

However, all is not as bleak and forlorn as we may think. One of the fruits of habitation of even the extreme Arctic-like regions are the marvels of indoor pools, where we can all experience the joys of skinny-dipping (swimming nude) no matter what the thermometer reads outside. All we need to do is to strip off our clothes (or swim-suits) and allow the soothing waters to envelope our bare skin.

So, let's not waste any more time and take the plunge! The water's fine and the opportunity for communal (social) nakedness is a welcome respite from the drudgery of the barren season of the year!

The pool awaits my friends!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Nude Valentine's Day Parade San Francisco

Giving a unique Valentine's Day gift to their city and to themselves, participants are having a Nude Valentine's Day Parade in San Francisco, California, USA, today. Meeting at the Jane Warner Plaza in the city's Castro District at 12:00 noon, participants, naked except for walking shoes, will parade to City Hall and then back to the plaza.

This is the second year for this event. Since the city banned public nudity without a parade permit in 2013, organizers are meticulous about securing the proper paperwork. The SFPD has approved a permit for today's parade.

Joyful Bare Elves

Who needs thermal long underwear with all that chest-fur?

For the past three years, Aaron (my husband) and I, along with my first cousin and his boyfriend, have hosted a holiday-themed event the first Sunday in December. It is a bare afternoon social for other same gender loving men and the admission qualifications are no clothing allowed (once inside our condo-apartment) and a new toy (unwrapped) for a child of either gender. The collected toy items are in turn donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program. This program targets children of families who are otherwise unable to provide toys for their kids.

We look at this as our way of helping others in need and as a way of giving something back into our communities. This time of the year, too often we are so focused on our own "giving and receiving" with family and friends that frequently those in desperate need are overlooked if not completely forgotten.

My cousin, Michael, and his boyfriend, began this custom six years ago. At that time, they were living in the Tidewater region of Virginia. Since then, they have both relocated to the Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Once they moved, Aaron and I joined with them in hosting this charitable event. We alternate having this bare holiday social either at their apartment or in our condominium.

This year, Cuz (that's how I refer to Michael) and his partner, Ropati, are being the hosts. They both are really into the "holiday thing" and have decorated their entire apartment as if this was the last winter season that mankind will ever see! Compared to them, Aaron and I are both "Ebenezar Scrooges" as our decorations, what few we have, are minimal and very simple. Our philosophy towards decorating is to keep it basic as whatever is put out has to eventually be put away.

Last year, this holiday bare celebration was attended by eight other couples and we collected a total of 21 new toys for disadvantaged children. All four of us are hoping to surpass that benchmark this year. It looks as though we're going to meet our expectations as we have 11 couples confirmed plus two others who are a "maybe."

Even if we don't set a record for the number of toys collected this year, I believe the effort was successful. Our goal is to provide a social nude opportunity and that we have accomplished. We want to help needy children and we're going to do that, even if we receive the toys just from the four of us as hosts. We offered a chance and the means. We all know that we tried.

National Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day: October 11

Closets are for clothes only! Come on out as the proud same gender loving and bare man that you truly are!

Today is National Coming Out Day! Originally conceived as the date to encourage and promote all same gender loving and dual gender loving persons to "come out of the closet" to family and friends. Now that most of us are no longer hiding our sexual orientation, we continue to observe this as a time to support one another with pride and love. I like to encourage all of us to also openly acknowledge our preference to live our lives as bare as possible. There is no shame in celebrating our clothes-freedom!

The term, "closet," traditionally referred to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people who, for whatever reason, felt they had to live in secret, primarily for survival. The historical label applied to those who preferred to live bare (close-free, nude) was to live "with a fig leaf" (in reference to the biblical "Adam" hiding behind a fig leaf as he was expelled from the Garden of Eden). Personally, even a fig leaf is transparent and it truly doesn't conceal anything.

Make today the day that we all stop hiding and start living!

There is nothing wrong with our being not only proud gay men but also proud, nude gay men! Our nudity and loving who we want isn't hurting anyone else. It is how we are comfortable in our daily lives. There is no need for us to feel any disgrace or shame about who we really are. Hiding our reality from others in a closet does not lead to happiness and productivity.

It is important for us all to remember that in being honest about who we are, we are serving as a positive example to all youth who are questioning their own sexuality and lifestyle choices. There is no reason for us to act irresponsibly and not offer the next generation the best role-model that we can possibly be. We owe this much to the future of our larger GLBT community. Whatever struggles we faced in our own lives don't have to necessarily be overcome by our future community members.

We all know that the world can be a harsh place for all people, no matter what their sexual orientation or life choices may be. In our capacity as responsible adults, it is incumbent upon each one of us to live our lives as decently and as honestly as we are able to ensure the continued progress and happiness of our successive generations.

If you're hiding in the closet or behind a fig leaf about your own sexual orientation or preference for nudity, kick down that closet door, drop that useless fig leaf and openly embrace who you truly are. You don't need to parade naked down a major traffic thoroughfare waving a rainbow flag. Simply let one or two others know who you indeed are and savor the freedom and joy of at last taking the first step towards living honestly. I guarantee that you'll feel much better about yourself and your life!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
