Lovers: A Beautiful Handful

Today is the final day of November, 2016, when we at Guys Without Boxers: Bare With Pride feature the beautiful buttocks of bare men in commemoration of the closing of yet another nudist month. Here in the Northern Hemisphere it is probably somewhat cool and chilly to bare our bottoms outside, but as naturists/nudists, that doesn't prevent us from going boxer-free indoors. As a matter of fact, some of our clothes-free brothers may even be bold and brave enough to bare their buns outside no matter how cold it becomes!

So those of you who prefer the comfort of being inside and warm during this time of the year, go bare and proud while watching the rest of the world shiver outside! There is definitely no shame in being naked at home or visiting with friends!

And for our courageous brothers who have the fortitude and stamina to withstand nudity outside, be as proud and bare as you dare! We all salute your braving the chills as you bare your bottom!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Post-Holiday Confusion!

I'm confused!

Now that the extended Thanksgiving holiday is over, exactly what am I supposed to be doing today with all of these clothes? I know there's something that I should be doing today, I'm just unable to remember what!

I think it might be a "back-to-work" day. But I'm simply not to sure! That's the major down-side to extended holidays. The drudgery of the work routine is just too challenging to fathom! Now where did I last put my shoes?

Maybe I'll just stay in bed, go back to sleep and think about it some more. This is too much for me to have to deal with today. Tomorrow is another day and perhaps by then I'll have it all figured out!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving USA!

Preparing the feast!

Today is the observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday in the USA. This is the celebration in gratitude of a bountiful and successful harvest and was originally organized by the European colonists and their neighbors, the indigenous peoples of this country, the Native Americans. There is some discord as to where the first Thanksgiving celebration actually happened. Some say the people in the Massachusetts Bay Colony held the first feast. Other scholars cite documentation that the first observance occurred in the Virginia Colony.

Abraham Lincoln was the president who signed the legislation that designated the fourth Thursday of November as the official date of the holiday throughout the USA. Since that time, it is traditionally a gathering of family, friends and neighbors to share a meal and show their appreciation to one another. Football games are the customary past-time on this day as well as parades to mark the arrival of the winter holiday season.

Turkey, stuffing, cranberry dishes and pumpkin pies are the staple foods usually served for this holiday. Other dishes are prepared in accordance with the culture and customs of the heritage of various families.

The above cartoon, entitled "Stuffing the Turk" is by Allesio in Wonderland. I follow his blog and the link appears in the Blogs I Follow gadget to the right of this page. The man in the Fez is the one being "stuffed" by the chef.

Today, the "family oriented" nature of this holiday has been almost completely replaced by the commercialism surrounding the winter holidays. Shopping has superseded families and togetherness increasing numbers of Americans take advantage of special sales to kick-off the winter buying frenzy. Most major retail establishments are now open extended hours on this date. Similarly, many fast-food and eat-in restaurants are now open to cater to the appetites of the shopping public.

My husband, Aaron, and I are spending Thanksgiving in the more traditional manner. We are at his parent's home with all of his siblings and their families. After attending Mass with his family (they are Roman Catholics), we'll sit down and enjoy the traditional foods along with whatever else is prepared for this gathering. Both of Aaron's parents love to cook and I, like most Greeks, love to eat!

Regardless of how each of you observe this holiday, I am grateful to everyone of you for your continued support of my blogging efforts here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy Assassinated

On this date, President John F. Kennedy, to date the youngest man ever elected to the office of president, was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. President Kennedy was the first Roman Catholic to become the Chief Executive. He is the most recent sitting president to die while serving in office.

Mr. Kennedy may or may not have been a practicing nudist. We don't know about that aspect of his personal life. However, he was known to have frequently skinny-dipped (swim naked) in the White House pool.

Although I wasn't yet born, I do remember both of my parents speaking very highly of the man.

Clothes-Free Sunday, November, 2016

Welcome to our humble abode!

Take off all your clothes, get comfortable and join us in our Sunday bare social!

Actually, everyday is clothes-free day at our house but on Sunday afternoons, we hold an "Open House" to greet all of our friends!

The theme for today's bare social is being thankful. This is the final Sunday before the American holiday of Thanksgiving. This holiday is observed as a time for families to gather together and recall/reflect on the many reasons that they are grateful. Obviously, the recent election results won't be at the top of the list for many this year.

What we're doing today, once everyone arrives are taking pictures of all, bare and natural, to show our appreciation for everyone's friendship and to display at future gatherings. We're proud of all of our wonderful friends and are thankful to have all of them enriching our lives!

We're also grateful for the many opportunities that we have to "hang-out" naked together!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Photoblog: Nude Dudes, November, 2016

As the outdoor temperatures begin to chill with the approaching winter season, many of our brothers are heading back inside. Now is the time to begin focusing on maintaining our bodies so that our physiques will be in shape for next summer. Most of us don't have the benefit of a clothes-free gym, however, that shouldn't prevent us from exercising in order to stay healthy and in shape.

Weightlifting helps to build both stamina and strength. It also is good for our metabolism and our blood circulation. Even if our fitness club/gym doesn't permit us to work-out bare, most of us do want to look good for those times we can be socially bare with other men. While we may have to wear clothes when we work-out, the benefit is that whatever we have on can be comfortable, loose-fitting and doesn't have to conceal/cover every inch of our body.

Most gyms offer locker rooms for changing clothes into our fitness gear before we start our exercise routine. Shower facilities are also provided for cleaning up after our routine is over. For some of our bare-loving brethren, during the late-Autumn and Winter seasons, this is the only chance for communal nudity during the harsh weather. For those of us who reside in metropolitan areas, our opportunities for social-nudity are greater but the joy of casually lounging in the locker-room is the same for us all.

As we know, men are always friendlier once clothes are off and nudity is prevalent. And more likely than not, regardless if a man is a naturist/nudist or not, most aren't that anxious to get dressed after showering. An exception to this norm are the men who do their fitness routine before going into work. We keep one eye on the clock the entire time we're at the health club. However, most of us don't mind lingering around and visiting before we have to get dressed for the office.

As is the case in many clothing-optional situations, we do need to be mindful of the fact that not everyone is as comfortable in sharing their bare bodies as we are. There will be those who for whatever reason prefer to keep their nudity private. While we may wish otherwise, we should always respect this. We are free to be naked ourselves but at the same time not discriminate/judge others merely because they don't happen to share our enthusiasm for the naturist/nudist lifestyle. Just as we don't depend on others to validate our nakedness, we don't have the right to deny others their choice as to wear or not to wear their clothes.

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

The Struggle Ahead...

There is no doubt in any one's mind that the next four years, especially here in the USA, are going to be a period of hardship, struggle and challenges for this country's GLBT community in particular and for the broader society in general. Over this past weekend, the upcoming new chief executive announced the proposed dismantling of the Affordable Health Care Act (mistakenly and disrespectfully labelled "Obama care") and his planned immediate deportation of several million undocumented residents. This same person referred to all of these persons as "criminals" and "undesirables." His Nazi-esque pronouncement appears to be a phrase taken directly from a Hitler diatribe about the Jews in 1930s Germany.

And to think a slender minority of the American people chose to support this man in our recent election. I simply cannot understand, no matter how much I try, to comprehend his reasoning. Does he even have one competent person advising him that his hateful speech is so reminiscent of Adolph Hitler?

In threatening (promising) to remove certain provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act (AHCA), the future leader risks alienating millions of citizens and leaving them all stranded without any type of health protection. Not to mention the health and safety of everyone in this country. Any disease transmitted through a broad segment of the general population, untreated, can mutate and infect multitudes and rapidly become a general pandemic. This is too great a threat to all of us to take a chance on. AHCA provided basic health services to more than eight million Americans who were otherwise unable to afford access to regular care. As a nation, we cannot play roulette with our lives.

Recent outbreaks of highly contagious conditions, such as ebola several years ago and zika this year have demonstrated our vulnerability as a country. Any efforts to restrict expensive health care to a sizable segment of our population only puts us, as a nation, at greater risk of a disease/disaster that will impact us all.

Arbitrary deportation isn't going to solve any of the problems related to undocumented workers. They were able to enter this country once and many will find a way to do it again. What is needed are programs and plans that encourage and support these individuals to come forward, and seek solutions that allow them to stay here legally and become productive citizens. Enabling them rather than excluding them from seeking their dream of responsible citizenship.

This recent political campaign was especially divisive, hateful and disgraceful. Our new chief executive would be wise to work towards unifying and healing our nation rather than wasting time and energy on removing existing programs that are already in place, particularly without providing a well-considered alternative to correct whatever flaws that may exist.

The new-president presumptive should remember that he did not win the popular vote. The majority of Americans are not automatically behind him based on his job title. Respect must be earned and is not guaranteed.

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
