GLBTQ Nude Pride Month #4

Today's post is the final installment of this month's Wednesday GLBTQ Nude Pride series here on Guys Without Boxers: Bare With Pride. This is the last Wednesday in October, 2017.

The theme for this post is Diversity. Each photograph features interaction between subjects representing many races and ethnicities. Almost all of them depict Black men and White men. I simply haven't been able to locate many that feature other races.

In all of the images contained here, the men seem to be comfortable with one another nude. This was totally different from the "real" world at the time as it was fraught with animosity and discrimination between the races, if not outright belligerence.

Yes, it's true that the majority of these pictures were posed and show professional models, who were paid to appear indifferent to their skin color or other identifying characteristics. All but the last photo below look as though they were dated from the late 1950's to middle 1960's, based on the length and style of their hair.

The above photograph is the exception to this norm. Judging from the shaved head of the guy to the left and the length of hair of the guy on the right, this image possibly dates from the late 1960's to early 1970's, after the Stonewall Inn Riots of 1969. This photo represents extreme radicalism not only because it shows two men kissing, but indeed two men of different races kissing.

October Is GLBTQ Bare History Month #3

The theme for this week's October is GLBTQ Bare History Month post is same gender loving couples, all clothes-free, of course! We'll see that being in love and committed to our same gender is not a recent idea that just happened overnight.

Love between two men has been around for probably as long as mankind. It has survived laws, imprisonment, ostracism and execution. It will continue to survive and thrive!

These photographs, based upon the hair-styles, all look to be dated during the 1940's, 1950's and early 1960's.

As we are all born nude, our comfort with being bare comes as no surprise to anyone. Nor is our love of being naked in nature.

For all of us who are proud of ourselves being nude, gay men, this is simply a part of who we are!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Serenity

Sean Xavier (pictured above and below) has every right to feel relaxed, serene and tranquil. With a view such as this from his south Florida apartment, who can blame him? Of course, not only do we get a view of that he sees every day, we also get a full frontal view of him!

As a famous international gay adult actor (pornography star), he knows that he has a great body and he's not ashamed to share his nudity with others. And I, for one, am so thankful for his graciousness and his confidence!

It's refreshing to see a prominent performer who doesn't cynical about his natural body hair and isn't interested in removing it. That could very well be one of many secrets of his "sex appeal!"

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!

Bare Friends Are Forever!

Handsome and hirsute Venezuelan-born gay adult actor and model, Gio (pictured both directly above and below), is definitely a man most of us would consider ourselves fortunate to call friend. What's more, he is absolutely a man who has no qualms about stripping out of his clothes and appearing completely bare, save for all his body hair. He may not have much growing on the top of his head, but he more than compensates for that loss with what he has proudly growing everywhere else!

Gio has often commented that he's not ashamed of either his body nor his sexuality. He's more comfortable without his clothes than he is wearing them (sound familiar?)! Good for him!

As the summer swiftly draws to a close, these beach pictures of Gio make a prefect post to mark the passing of yet another season of sand, sun and surf. Besides, I'm offering a special treat in that not only does the beach scenery help to remind us of what we can look forward to next year, his furry body gives all of us something to snuggle up to and keep us warm in the winter ahead!

I don't know about all of you but I wouldn't mind skinny-dipping with Gio!

Peace! Get Naked. Enjoy!

Stonewall Anniversary

The nondescript building (above) is the Stonewall Inn, located in Greenwich Village, New York City, USA. It was on this night, June 28-29, 1969, that the Stonewall Inn Riots occurred, which changed forever the lives of GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer) people not only here in the USA but throughout the world. The image shows the Stonewall Inn as it appeared in 1969.

On this night, New York City police conducted what they thought would be a routine raid against the Stonewall and its clientele. That didn't happen. Instead, the "complacent" clientele, meaning the GLBTQ patrons at the bar, not only resisted arrest and harassment, they forcefully fought off the police and instead trapped them inside the facility.

What transpired that night initially didn't seem extraordinary nor credible. Prior to June 28, 1969, the "homosexuals" were deemed a deviant menace to society. They were regularly and routinely thought of as an indecent and immoral class of citizens and habitually discriminated against, stereotyped, outlawed and harassed, not only by law enforcement, but also by courts, employers, churches and clergy, their fellow citizens and the U. S. government.

The above images are of the rioting outside the Stonewall Inn on June 28/29, 1969. Photos courtesy the New York Village Voice newspaper.

By 1969, the "homosexual" community (as the GLBTQ community was then known) was totally disgusted with this second-class status. They had helped the Black community protest for equality, the anti-war community demonstrate against the war in Vietnam and feminists causes. They were ready to strike back against injustice on their own.

They were angry, frustrated and tired. Unfortunately, the police raid against the Stonewall Inn happened to be the Bastille they rallied to defend.

Rather than fade away quietly into the night, they reacted. Their reaction created one of the pivotal civil rights and human rights movements that humanity has witnessed. A grassroots revolution that is currently underway, even today, throughout the world.

The Rainbow Flag wasn't born that night in New York City. It didn't come to symbolize the GLBTQ international community until years later. It does represent the freedom that all GLBTQ people throughout the world seek. And it is a bold and colorful reminder of what those "homosexuals" revolted against all those many years ago.

Happy Stonewall Anniversary! Happy Gay Pride!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
