During this especially hectic time of the year, it is always important to keep in mind that there are many all around us who are not as fortunate as we are. For whatever reason, they are the ones who are in serious need of our thoughts and kindnesses throughout the winter holiday season (if not the entire calendar year).
Some may suffer from depression. Others may feel overwhelming loneliness. Many experience daily hunger and homelessness. There are many who simply lack the basic life skills necessary enjoy full, healthy and productive lives. There are some who have outlived all of their family and friends and are in danger of losing the desire and will to continue living. There are innumerable human conditions and situations that others experience on a daily basis that we cannot imagine.
During this cheerful and happy time of the year, we all need to be reminded of their existence and of their needs. A large number of persons living with depression are unaware of their condition and think depression is merely a part of life that must be endured.
A number of these persons simply need someone to see them as "human" and offer to them the same consideration that most of us give to our family, friends and co-workers. Sometimes, a smile and a greeting alone will transform their day from mundane to wonderful.
"It is better to give than to receive." ~ Folk proverb

You hypocrite.
Thank you for your observation. I am curious as to the reason for you feeling that way about me.
I know you.

Cool. However, I only know you as "anonymous." Thanks for getting back to me!
