NABWMT

My husband, Aaron, and I are a biracial couple. I don't think that it was pre-planned, it simply happened. We saw each other for the first time, accidentally, at a social nudist function. The next day we had our first date. Within a year we were living together as a couple. In August, 2015, we married. Each of our families not only supported us emotionally but also strongly encouraged us to legally wed. We both acknowledge that this is not the case for everyone.

We're members of a national organization that is supportive of biracial gay couples and is committed to fighting both homophobia and racism. We're not as active in our local chapter as we would like and that is due to our varying work schedules, more so Aaron's than mine. The name of this organization is the National Association of Black and White Men Together (NABWMT).

The mission of NABWMT:
"The National Association of Black and White Men Together is a gay, multiracial, multicultural organization committed to fostering supportive environments wherein racial and cultural barriers can be overcome and the goal of human equality realized. To these ends we engage in educational, political, cultural and social activities as a means of dealing with the racism, sexism, homophobia, HIV/AIDS discrimination and other inequalities in our communities and in our lives."
We both hope to become more involved in our local affiliate this year. Hopefully, next year we would like to attend the national convention. Although it isn't a nudecentric group, we would like to expand our circle of friendship with other biracial couples throughout the USA.
