This is the second installment of Guys Without Boxers: Bare With Pride 2016 Friday feature for GLBT Bare History Month. This posting is also a segment of my monthly feature: Photo-blog: Nude Dudes for this month. The above photograph shows two bare men in a loving embrace. What better way to celebrate who we are than showcasing two men in love? This image dates from the early 1960s and predates the Stonewall Riots.
The above picture is of a man and the cabin of his truck. This guy is proud of his truck and the fact that he is able to be clothes-free. This image is from the middle 1960s.
This photograph is of a young man practicing a stance from his yoga class. There isn't too much here to help date the time period but the image quality suggests late 1950s to early 1960s.
Many people mistakenly believe that same gender loving male nudity is a very recent phenomenon. Humans have been enjoying nudity since the beginning of time and gays and lesbians are no different. The very fact that these men were able to be naked and to pose for these pictures lets us know that being clothes-free was widely appreciated more than fifty years ago.
